Brendan Poker Clock script description:

Publisher review:
Brendan's Poker Clock - When poker meets MATLAB 3D graphics... there can be only one Earth shattering special effects highlight this unsane timepiece. Just when you thought that clocks were a "solved" problem, Brendan's Poker Clock comes in and lights the place up.Basically it's a clock made up of playing cards that fly through the air and land on a poker table to make a digital clock. It reads in military time, with the ace card representing the "1" digit, and the queen representing the "0" digit (cause a Q looks a bit like a 0).The rotation of each card is randomly determined when it flies off the deck, and the cards move through the air more slowly as you move to the left (ie, the seconds travel faster in the air than the hours). For maximum effectiveness, I recommend setting your system clock to 9:59am, 7:59pm, or 11:59pm so you can watch all 6 digits change at once.I threw this together in a couple of days, so the code isn't very clean, but I don't really have time to work on it anymore, so it will probobly just remain like this.As a learning tool, there are examples of surface objects, hg graphics hierarchy, hg transform objects and basic 3d graphics (translation and rotation of coordinate systems). To run, just unzip the file, cd into the directory it created (in MATLAB) and then run "brendanclock.m". It will use the other files in the zip file for textures and what not. Requirements: ยท MATLAB Release: R14
